The murder of George Floyd on the 25th of May 2020, sparked global outrage. What followed was an unprecedented eruption of global demonstrations and protests, including across the UK.
London saw the largest UK protests and made international headlines across the globe. Individuals and Organisations showed an outpouring of solidarity and collectively championed the need for equality and justice for Black people around the world.
Even though the term 'Black Lives Matter' has global recognition , it is important to note that the 'movement' is made up of many groups , Organisations and individuals who , whilst possessing a single commitment to Black Equality and Justice , DO NOT automatically share the same 'political ideologies'.
Imarn has NOT at any point worked for or been a part of the organisation/s known as : UKBLM/BLMUK and is not affiliated to any BLM group or organisation in the UK or globally.
